Thank you again for taking the time to comment and feedback on our proposal for the Feldon Vale Solar Farm (previously known as Knightcote Road Solar Farm).
It hasn’t been easy to know if we have consulted in the right way, we would have much preferred to meet and greet you all in person and then be able to answer your questions directly. However, due to the restrictions in place in regard to COVID-19, we were unable to do this.
We have worked through all the comments received either through the post, email, telephone or online and have compiled the Consultation Report (Statement of Community Involvement). You can now find this in the Key Project Document s section of the Commonplace website if you would like to see how these comments have been considered as well as the overall statistics (click here to access the document).
It is of great interest to see the sentiment of the proposal. Where we have seen concerns arising, we have attempted to provide a better explanation of what we are seeking to achieve, for instance, with regards to having a Construction and Traffic Management Plan for construction, or the biodiversity improvements to the site. This is detailed further in the Consultation Report.
Some key changes that we would like to bring your attention to, that have been made to the proposal, including a reduction in the areas put forward into the final application and, at the request of a member of the local community during the final webinar, a change in name of the site from Knightcote Road Solar Farm to Feldon Vale Solar Farm.
We have chosen to now submit a planning application, the Consultation Report will be included in that application. This application should be available to view on the Stratford-on-Avon District Council website in the near future where you can keep up to date and comment on it. We shall also continue to share periodic updates on this website as and when there is something significant to update. If you have registered for updates then you shall continue to receive them too.
We have uploaded the Q&A from the webinars we held with the community, these have been uploaded within the Key Project Documents section for your information.
